Our Procurement team has been transformed and is now a high-performing business function. Our aim is to enhance the reputation and work of our Directorate, acting as a key partner to the business, driving through efficiency and cost savings, and ensuring Genesis makes the most of its position in the housing market.
Your role will be to manage a range of procurement projects across our business. You will be working closely with the Category Managers and other team members to ensure that efficiency and cost savings are maximised.
Genesis has clearly defined values and we are looking for people whose values align with ours. We put our customers first, taking personal responsibility and ownership for work. Partnerships are key to our business. You will work alongside our staff and our customers to achieve goals. We have improved our efficiency, in terms of cost, time and people, challenging waste and focussing on continuous improvement to ensure our services are provided as efficiently as possible. We also look for people who treat others professionally, valuing their colleagues and acting in an ethical and inclusive way.
For this specific role we need a candidate who possesses an understanding of procurement procedures, preferably including OJEU processes, has the capability to manage internal and external relationships, and can ensure that procurement is conducted within budget, allowing for our teams to work within their targets.
Genesis is proud of the homes we build, the creative and inclusive services we provide and the places we create with our residents. We also know that standing still is not an option and have an ambitious programme of change that underpins our corporate plan to make us a leading property-based service provider. To achieve that ambition, we need people with the skills, resilience and ethos to drive continuous improvement. At Genesis we will give you the opportunity to make a difference, enhance your career and seize the benefits that come from working for a modern progressive organisation.
