An Install Electrician is required to join an Estates team for a Hospital in West London, a CRB is required for this position before you start.

This a temporary on-going position working 37.5 working hours per week from Monday to Friday between the hours 8am - 5pm and a week's notice will be given when the night shift starts 20:30pm - 04:30am

The Main Duties:

- To install LED light fittings and the additional installation of integral emergency lighting that will replace the originally installed units.

Essential Requirements:

- You must be a qualified Electrician City and Guilds 17th Edition

- Significant experience of large installations (preferably within the NHS environment) or commercial / industrial

- Must have a current CRB / DBS disclosure

I am working with a public sector client who are looking to source a skilled and qualified Electrical Craftsperson to undertake maintenance work across a large estate in Basingstoke
This is a temporary role with long term prospects and the likelihood of becoming permanent for good performers.

The Job Role:

You will be working within an estates maintenance team responsible for the upkeep and operation of the estate assets.
You will be required to perform fault finding duties, maintenance, repairs and minor improvement works to a range of engineering and building services plant / equipment inclusive of; electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building control & automation (BMS), generator plant, security, nurse call systems and data.
You will respond to reactive and emergency maintenance requests from management and perform planned and preventative maintenance inspections as scheduled.
All work must be completed in line with health and safety requirements and must follow the outlined compliance regulations with relevant paperwork also being completed accurately

Person Requirements:

-You will have completed a structured apprenticeship or 3 year electrical training programme and hold a minimum City & Guilds 2360 Level 2 qualification or equivalent BTEC in Electrical Engineering
-You will have completed a form of Health and Safety and Asbestos Awareness training
-You will have a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience working ideally in a estates or commercial maintenance type environment
-You will have a good knowledge and understanding of IEE regulations and Electricity at Work Regulations
-You will have experience in working with Electrical Distribution, Generator plant, Fire Alarm Systems and BMS
-You will have good communication skills and be able to work without any supervision.
-You will be flexible to work overtime if needed and be able to work on an on call rota if required to do so.

Person Requirements:

-You will have completed a WRAS plumbing course and training in health and safety and asbestos awareness
-You will have post qualification experience working within a mechanical maintenance environment - experience with Medical Gases, Washer Disinfectors and Critical Ventilation Plant would be beneficial
-You must have a good working knowledge of low pressure hot water, steam and HVAC systems, plant and equipment
-You must be a good clear communicator and be able to work effectively unsupervised and within a team
-You will be flexible to work overtime if needed and to be included on an on call rota if required to.

You will be working within an estates maintenance team responsible for the operation and upkeep of the estates assets and buildings
You will be responsible for completing repair work to the building fabric of the estate inclusive of; plaster, walls, ceilings, pathways, flooring, windows, doors, drainage, blockages and decoration
Your work will be issued by the supervisor and all work must be completed in line with health and safety requirements and must follow the outlined HTM compliance regulations with relevant paperwork also being completed accurately.

Person Requirements:

-You will have completed training and gained a minimum City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in either Painting or Carpentry
-You must have additional skills to your trade bias to perform general building maintenance tasks covering carpentry, decoration, plastering, minor plumbing etc.
-Previous experience working within a multi skilled maintenance capacity would be preferred
-You must be a good clear communicator and be able to work effectively unsupervised and within a team
-You will be flexible to work overtime if needed and to be included on an on call rota if required to.
