I am currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor / Technician for a HE establishment in the West Midlands, the role is available on a full time permanent basis with a salary available of £30,000.

Purpose of the role;
The delivery of a minor building projects, including planning, specification and supervision, via orders, framework and individual contracts up to a notional limit of around £35k per project in compliance with current Estates and Financial Procedures.
Assisting the Project Managers as required in monitoring and checking work on site on larger projects.
Key requirements;
HNC or Degree in Building studies, knowledge of building regulations, H&S including Asbestos management, AutoCAD and ability to use Microsoft packages.

You will be highly knowedgable with social housing contracts and planned maintenance in particular, and can demonstrate a proven track record of managing other surveyors.

Your responsibilities will include the following;
- preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials
â¢on-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
â¢feasibility studies of client requests
â¢analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors
â¢allocating upcoming work to contractors
â¢site visits, assessments and projections for future work

In return, you will receive an annual salary of up to £60k plus a car allowance of up to £6k. Company benefits include 25 day holiday entitlement, pension, health care and others.
