Resourcing Group are recruiting on behalf of a reputable organisation to work as a Senior Family Support Worker.
Our client provides services family and children's around the Uk. Our client is ever growing and developing within the sector constantly improving to meet the on going needs of service users.

Responsibilities:
*To recognise the right levels to actively engage and take-up cases for referral into the community for families with children affected by imprisonment
*To provide one-to-one family support work with visitors of prisoners with an emphasis on those with children or where there are children involved. This includes higher level cases with required actions for referrals and follow up within their community setting
*To shape and partake fully in the delivery of family days and extended children's visits (if applicable) with an emphasis on maintaining and building family ties between the prisoner and their family, under direction of the Family Services Manager
*To ensure Spurgeons' Safeguarding policy and procedure are correctly followed by the staff team, under direction of the Family Services Manager.
*To confidently use office equipment within occupational and safety guidelines and ensure the office/reception facilities are an effective environment for all using them.
*To take the lead within the staff team in ensuring that Spurgeons financial systems and cash handling procedures are correctly followed
*To be an effective team leader who is able to work in the service environment and communicate and negotiate appropriately and professionally with service users, colleagues and multi-agency partners, contributing to the running of the service, responding to on-going change and solving problems within the service
*To be responsible for own performance, regularly identifying areas to improve own performance, attending regular supervision at least 4-6 weekly, appraisals and undertaking identified learning and development identified in Personal Development Plan
*To ensure regular and appropriate supervision for staff at least 4-6 weekly, and volunteers and student placements, in liaison with Family Service Manage
To link with and follow through with external agencies and relevant family in the community setting to ensure referrals are received and acted on to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
*To take the lead within the staff team in ensuring contractual and organisational objectives are met, under direction of the Family Services Manager
*To perform service administrative tasks including capturing service user information, storing, retrieving and archiving information; administering case file records; managing service diary; handling mail; maintaining and ordering stationary stock and service products
*To collate, organise and report data using service contracted systems including Outcomes Based Accountability and the London Prison Visiting Service financial payment tool
*To work with the Family Services Manager to instigate opportunities to further interagency working between the visiting service and relevant London Boroughs to enable support to families with children affected by imprisonment
*To provide support as required to the wider staff team including the areas of play, catering and the day-to-day running activities of the visiting services
*To be responsible for completing staffing rotas for the Visitors' Centre, Play and Catering services, under direction of the Family Services Manager

Essential Requirements:
*Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months

Key Accountabilities;

To provide relevant technical administrative support to a part of the business, typically including acting as the first point of contact for internal and external customers and other stakeholders.

It is essential that you have excellent IT skills and experience working with the full Microsoft package in particular Excel. You will be a first class communicator with experience of working with a variety of different people so that you can liaise effectively with contractors, residents, internal staff as well as technical and administrative staff.
You will maintain records of the service performance of the various contractors and will prepare monthly statistics and attend the regular contractor meetings with the contract managers.
The daily routine is wide ranging from dealing with contractor invoice queries, service charge queries, performance monitoring to resolving resident enquiries for outstanding or defective works

Experience:
*Able to demonstrate strong administrative experiences, gained in fast paced working environments
*Invoicing and budget control
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and advanced Excel is essential
*Excellent communication skills
*Knowledge of maintenance procedures
*The ability to work under pressure
