The role

Our Care & Support business has recently undergone an ambitious change programme which will not only enable us to deliver outstanding services within a fast changing marketplace but also to become a leading provider of choice within the sector. Our first phase of the transformation programme has nearly been completed and this has created new positions across a number of key business areas including an exciting opportunity for an Enhanced Service Coordinator in Essex.

You will be working with individuals with learning difficulties and mental health issues in the local area. St Giles is a supported housing service providing housing related support for adults with Learning Disabilities and/or with Mental Health Needs.

You will be assisting and responsible for:
*Supervising and supporting front line workers to deliver excellent services;
*Directly coordinate and lead customer focussed support services and excellent housing management services, as appropriate
*Leading local, and supporting corporate, customer engagement initiatives;
*Directly managing and supporting colleagues to deal with incidents and emergencies;
*Proactively working with multiple external stakeholders, acting as first point of contact for local external agencies, supporting your Services Manager as directed in their local liaison role

This role will be based in East Hanningfield (Near Chelmsford) at our St Giles scheme. The total number of hours for this post will be 39 hours per week.

This role will be covering an internal secondment so will be offered as a fixed term contract until 31st October 2015.

*Experience of achieving performance improvement targets at operational service delivery level
*Experience of working within a team environment
*Experience of using own initiative to solve problems
*Experience of being accountable, reporting appropriately and in a timely manner to managers
*Experience of supervising staff delivering services to customers

We are currently looking for 8 experienced periodic testing electricians.


The main duty of the vacancy is to carry out day periodic testing.


Carrying out electrical work mainly in domestic buildings however some commercial work will also be expected, including consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs and fault finding.

To be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works of both 230v and 400v.


You will be doing 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

Essential Requirements:

- 17th Edition accreditation
- Periodic Testing
- Previous domestic electrical experience
- Live within reasonable distance of the Coventry
- 2391

Desirable:

- Previous experience working on social housing

*Organising and arranging customer activities
*Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of policy and best practice in housing related support and social housing management.

You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to demonstrate good time management and also hold good knowledge of IT systems.
