We are looking for an individual to join a well established team on a 6 month on going contract.

The right individual would have previous experience and understanding on working with Domestic Violence clients, either in Outreach centres, refuge centres or within their own homes. This role will involve offering practical and emotional support to Domestic Violence clients. Practical support will include anything from health, financial or legal advice. This role will include monitoring and working closely with the clients, ensuring all compliance and operational policies and procedures are met.
You will also need to have a strong knowledge of SP QAF, Domestic Violence Pathways and Refuge Support and a passion for working to support abused women and children.

Our client is looking to recruit a Floating Support Worker on a 6 month on going basis.
Duties will include:
*Supporting and liaising on behalf of clients affected by Domestic Abuse and Violence
*Correctly assessing needs, referrals and inducting clients to service and handling resettlement duties
*Meeting with clients within their own homes and in community centres
*Facilitating and referring clients to additional and specialist support including sanctuary schemes, freedom programmes, mental health and substance misuse assistance and parental support
*Encouraging independent living and community engagement

Essential Requirements:
*Valid UK driving license and own car
*Current enhanced CRB
*Previous experience working with Domestic Violence clients or within supported housing; voluntary or paid

Desirable Requirements/ Characteristics:
*Strong communication and time management skills and a proactive working attitude
*Previous experience of supporting victims of Domestic Violence would be highly desirable.
*Knowledge of the different specialist support services that can be offered
