My Client, a West London Local Authority is seeking a Operations Manager for a 6 month contract
To ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly. To put methods in place to ensure that maximum productivity levels are achieved at all times. To act as a key member of the management team to deliver the business objectives and company development plan.
Managing a multi-trade direct labour workforce
Ensuring performance and income targets are achieved
Ensuring job completions are in time and recorded accurately
Ensure scheduling is completed in a way which maximises the number of repairs slots and that the level of non productive time is kept to a minimum.
Manage the WIP (works in progress)
Ensure vehicle fleet is operated efficiently and effectively
Overseeing supervision of employees in line with all company policies and procedures.
Create a working environment which encourages team work, energy and creativity
Ensure all employees are customer focused
To improve the working environment and business processes of the organisation to ensure maximum efficiency throughout.
To work closely with clients at all times and ensures their needs are met within agreed time frames.
Look to strengthen client relationships building trust and confidence.
Build and develop relations with local resident groups and leaseholders.
Provide feedback, training and other development exercises
Ensure the PDR (performance development review) process is managed effectively and to agreed standards.
Maintain relationships with sub contractors and suppliers and ensure value for money is achieved at all times.
Identify, manage and advise the Managing Director of any commercial risks or performance concerns with individual employees.
Maintain high level control of all assets
Prepare, revise and submit reports, budgets and KPI as requested
Respond to all customer complaints within agreed timeframe ensuring that customer satisfaction levels are maintained to an acceptable standard.
Ensure high levels of communication are maintained throughout the team.
Ensure that toolbox talks are held regularly
Implement quality management and regulatory compliance strategies.
Review customer feedback and make recommendations for improvements.
Operational support for all project work
Assist Managing Director as requested
Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies including Health & Safety, CDM and statutory regulations.
Work with Managing Director and other Senior Managers as part of management team to ensure that business plan is delivered.
Essential Qualifications for the position:
A minimum of 5 years experience within the Repairs and Maintenance field.
Extensive leadership experience
Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant topic.
Previous experience with open contractor and DRS (opti-time) programs.
Previous experience of working within a client/contractor environment
