Description

As a Project Manager, you will plan, design and deliver projects from inception through to completion, providing effective Project Management and strong technical knowledge to navigate and deliver a diverse range of projects, varying in challenge and complexity
To develop and refurbish buildings with a view to providing a positive effect on patient, staff and visitor experiences at the hospital
Provide technical and estate condition advice to inform the Estates Strategy and ERIC returns as required
Produce feasibility plans and cost estimates to support strategic and estate development planning
Project manage all phases of new-build and refurbishment schemes from inception to completion to provide optimum solutions and best value
Consult local authority planning and building control where appropriate and submit applications when required
Consult and incorporate advice from other Trust departments including Infection Prevention & Control and the Trust's Fire and Resilience Officers
Liaise with external consultants and design team members to communicate the requirements of the brief and provide feedback from user groups and other stakeholders
Consult with Operational Estates colleagues in all matters concerning service capacity, infrastructure and maintenance.

A successful candidate will have:

HNC or working towards an equivalent qualification in Building Construction or Engineering
Member of an appropriate professional organisation (e.g. RICS or CIOB)
Qualification or experience in the use of AutoCAD
Technical knowledge of building design and construction
Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations including CDM
Understanding of construction contracts
Understanding of the Building Regulations
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical services
Previous experience in building design and project management in a healthcare environment.
