Description

An organisation based in the North West of England is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities will be:

Responsible for the implementation of professional facilities management throughout estate building services engineering operations including planned maintenance and defect maintenance
Provide a mechanical / electrical engineering building maintenance service, ensuring effective maintenance programmes are developed to meet statutory requirements, minimise risk and provide a safe and comfortable environment
To support in developing the estate operations in line with the corporate objectives of the Trust
The efficient and effective management of directly employed trade staff and contractors
Provide a responsive maintenance service to pre-determined time scales and standards
Plan and organise engineering services shut downs for maintenance or new works
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other divisions and services regarding operational estate issues
Undertake and/or support surveys for statutory compliance, backlog maintenance and condition appraisal
Assisting in the developing of systems of work as a result of the introduction of trust policies and provide reports.

A successful candidate will have:

Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent registration
Recognised management qualification i.e. NEBSM or experience
Proven post qualification experience in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Building services maintenance
Experience of inspection & testing of electrical systems to the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations standard
Experience of Control of Legionella
Gas safe systems
Knowledge of statutory requirements of the maintenance service within the built environment
Computer Aided Design (CAD).
