My Client, a West London Local Authority is seeking a Voids Supervisor with an FRA Accreditation for a 6 month contract
Responsible for managing the direct labour team as well as sub-contractors carrying out repairs and void refurbishment works.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years experience within the Repairs and Maintenance field.
Must have FRA Accreditation
Must also have an up to date Asbestos awareness Pass
NVQ Level 3 Qualification
SMSTS or SSSTS Certificate
Worked with SOR codes
Previous experience with open contractor
Previous experience of working within a client/contractor environment
Previous experience within a similar role
Previous extensive supervisory experience
The role is as follows:
To manage, lead, direct and develop multi-trade direct labour workforce
Manage, lead, direct and work done on our behalf by our sub-contractors
Undertaking quality checks of works completed by either in house team or external contractors to ensure high standards are maintained.
To provide day to day management and performance management of the workforce including regular onsite assessments and toolbox talks in all matters relating to the service to ensure that the correct works are carried out to the correct standard.
To ensure all processed and procedures are adhered to
Responsibility for visiting sites, undertaking risk assessments and organising works to a successful conclusion.
Responsible for the financial spend on all repairs being supervised by the post holder and compliance with financial regulations
Ensuring that all repairs being supervised by the post holder meet the performance standards of the Council's Repairs both in relation to delivery timescale and quality.
To be responsible for all Health and Safety requirements on all repairs being supervised by the post holder.
Obtaining quotations and effective contractor management.
To participate on estate inspections and manage the effective delivery of repair work identified.
To participate on the out of hours rota if required.
Inspection of void properties and pre tenancy termination.
Attending meetings and preparing reports, information and estimates and dealing with enquiries as appropriate..
To maintain effective record keeping and audit trails of all work activities.
To ensure that Diversity and Equality issues are addressed and included in all aspects of service delivery.
To undertake other duties that may be required that are regarded as appropriate to the grading of this post
