My Client, A North London Housing Association is seeking a Planning and Delivery Manager for a 6 month contract.
The role is as follows:
Lead on the management of the organisations stock condition data base including compliance data.
Plan and develop proposed budgets for capital works against the 5 year and 30 year business plan.
Manage and supervise the staff allocated to the post.
Delivery of disabled adaptations (Aids and Adaptations) works.
Manage ad-hoc Major Works projects.
Lead as the department champion for the QL information technology system.
Manage the stock condition survey process.
Develop and maintain information on the organisations web site (working in conjunction with our communications team) to provide residents with visibility of forward works programme, service standards for works and other relevant information.
Directly manage around five members of staff (currently 1 Project Manager (Major works), 1 Project Manager (Adaptations), 1 Project Assistant (Adaptation), 1 Project Support Officer, 1 Stock Condition Database Analysis).
The post will be required to develop working relationships with staff in other departments contractors consultants and departments as well as councillors and occasional correspondence with MPs
The position is mainly office based
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
The post requires an understanding of legislation relating to aids and adaptations and the delivery of work for other vulnerable residents.
Housing management, Maintenance and of working within TPC 2005 with 2008 Amendments
JCT Forms of contracts.
Complaint handling through a formal complaints process.
Outcomes or objectives that this role will deliver:
Maintain the Housing Associations 30 year Capital works programme.
Develop specific packages of works from the programme
Track and report on all Capital expenditure against budgets
Manage, supervise, train and coach staff.
Oversee and manage the Aids and Adaptations Team.
To manage the individual project managers.
To manage surveyors and administrators.
Attending and participate in meetings.
Seek ways of securing additional funding.
Deliver a customer focused service and to ensure that the Housing Associations Landlord obligations are met.
