Account Manager (Hard Services Maintenance)

Up to £70,000 plus £5,500 car allowance, 20% bonus and benefits package

A leading provider of building services maintenance and integrated facilities management are looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to lead the technical, operational and commercial aspects of their Contract for a high provide data centre organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading client on a highly prestigious contract.

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full mechanical and electrical maintenance contract on a number of data centres across the UK. You will be client-facing, and have full Profit & Loss ownership, and therefore it is essential that you have strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Role Summary:

  • Responsible for the contract management of staff, operations and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical plant/services, project works and building performance.
  • Daily management of the Engineering team ensuring compliance with working practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews of operating procedures making recommendations for improvement for emergency/contingency procedures within the critical systems.
  • Working with other Managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
  • Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth.
  • Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.

Experience Required:

  • Management experience within the Building Services Maintenance industry.
  • Recognised formal training/qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, to a minimum of City & Guilds level, preferably ONC/HNC or higher.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of technicians and engineers.
  • Possess an understanding of Health and Safety issues, NEBOSH / IOSH, or equivalent formal training (Desirable)
  • HV Authorised Person (Desirable).
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
