Resourcing Group work with the UK's leading Facilities Management Service Providers across the UK, ensuring that a wide range of facilities, from corporate to industrial, are maintained and serviced to the highest possible standard. The UK's largest Hard Services provider is recruiting in the Crewe area for a seasoned Site Maintenance engineer for a large scale distribution centre aligned to a market leading manufacturer.

The Role:

The role is aimed at multi-trade maintenance operatives with an electrical bias. 17th / 18th Edition would be ideal but we will consider operatives from a wide range of backgrounds who can provide a comprehensive first line maintenance and repair service across the site's building fabric, electrical services and HVAC systems. This is focused on the building and building services on the site, not any specialist equipment.

The role covers assisting other on site engineers with the day to day and reactive tasks.

You will work under the direction of the site supervisor based on site.

You will work to a schedule of work with the maintenance team based on site and any mobile support operatives.

This will include maintenance on the following items; Extract fans, pumps, Lighting and Emergency lighting, Fire alarm testing, Indoor and Outdoor a/c units, Calorifiers, Expansion vessels, Electric water heaters, Toilet, urinal and sink plumbing, Showers and shower cubicles, water storage tanks, Electric, Gas and Water meter reading, Plant room inspections, Heater batteries.

You will carry out all small electrical works/repairs as required; assist the team with all onsite duties as per the contract; respond to changes or modifications to the day to day working of the contract as necessary; provide 24 hour callout on a rota basis; be responsible for contacting the Maintenance emergency specialist if required; promote an excellent H&S culture, reporting and issuing near miss and good catch forms as required; attend job related courses if required.

The Person:

You must have experience in a similar role.

You will be qualified to a suitable standard in electrical installations and maintenance to NVQ Level II or III standard.

If you are not suitably qualified or you have been employed in the electrical industry for some time and who have no electrical qualifications (or who qualified prior to the advent of the 16th Edition) then you may be able to update your knowledge and certification by attending the most appropriate subject updating or "refresher" course - probably the City & Guilds 2381 BS7671 18th Edition certificate.

The Package:

In return, a basic salary of £28,000 per annum is available plus pension, holidays, call out payments and potential overtime.
