Job description

Resourcing Group are working alongside a leading contractor who are a leading national supplier of electrical, fire safety and security services for the Social Housing sector. The Company employs over 200 people and has an ambitious growth plan to double its size over the next few years.

The client have identified the need for an Engineering Supervisor in the Cambridge shire area due to the continued growth of the company. This is a role that will include overseeing a team of engineers and facilitating the Health & Safety procedures and requirements within the contract, whilst providing technical advice to both our employees and clients.

This role is paying £20.41 per hour umbrella, a van and fuel card will be provided. Hours are 8am-5pm - 40 hour weeks

You will be required to do the following:

  • Achieving client service level agreements consistently as set by the Operations Director
  • Achieving compliance and workstream targets (KPI's) consistently as set by the Operations Manager
  • Modelling a continuous focus on health and safety in role at all times, raising concerns in the right way to the right people, continually looking at ways to improve the safety of self and others and providing advice if observing others not complying.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering post audit inspections on completed works to ensure they are within the required industry standard
  • Having a Health and Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with works to be carried out and reporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of self and others.

  • Be on hand to support your team as well as office staff and clients with technical advice
  • Deliver regular tool-box talks to your team, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest advice and safety.
  • Delivering on-site visits and surveys prior to any work being carried out in a timely manner
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager to gain feedback on works carried out and eliminate the likelihood of any concerns
  • Delivering general repairs and reactive works where required
  • Addressing areas of concern as raised by clients, identifying areas of improvement and implementing measures to address and resolve, eliminating the likelihood of the concern reoccurring.
  • Working to first call resolution and eliminating the need for a second attendance
