Are you working in the Property or Facilities Management industry looking for a new challenge?

This regional FM client are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to work as part of their busy property management team.

The SFM will be responsible for the management of premises support services and associated contracts across a diverse client property portfolio. This will include all contract management and financial administration to ensure the services achieve KPI and SLA criteria as well as ensuring the services meet the requirements of UK Legislation, British Standard and recognised industry Best Practices, whilst maintaining value for money and appropriate levels of quality. This will include the management and utilisation of the FM department's administrate support function which includes a Helpdesk operation

In addition to the above the SFM will also use their specialist knowledge to assist with FM consultancy services which provides expert Facilities Management advice to clients outside of the managed portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar position, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive 'can do' attitude, the ability to prioritise workloads, the supervision and support of colleagues, contract and financial administration, manage time effectively, excellent IT skills, (MS Office Suite), professional approach and personable manner. They will need to show initiative and be an adaptable team player with a flexible approach. Familiarity with TRAMPS, Riskwise and CAFM systems would be an advantage. As the role requires the individual to undertake property inspections a full UK driving licence is required.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

 To assist with the development of overall property initiative and strategy and ensure that department, business and client KPI's and SLA's are achieved.

 Ensure premises legislative compliance (Health & Safety Management, Environmental Management and Statutory Obligations)

 Procurement, Administration and Management of Facilities Service Contracts

 Financial administration of FM service contracts

 Auditing of FM service contracts

 Auditing of Internal services to ensure compliance with QA procedures

 Property Inspection and reporting

 Supply Chain Management

 Project Management

 Supervision and support of FM administration and helpdesk function

 Ensure relevant departmental records are maintained in line with KPI's and department standards including Databases (Contour, TRAMPS, Riskwise, CAFM)

 Budget planning and assistance with preparation of service charge budgets, internal reports and client reports.

 Reporting directly to clients on performance of services both in report and meeting format

 Assisting with FM consultancy service

PERSONAL PROFILE

 Strong service ethic

 Experience of FM in commercial property working to current best practice

 Knowledge of Service Charges

 Excellent IT skills - Word, Excel, Outlook 

 Good communication and inter-personal skills

 Excellent telephone manner

 Methodical approach with attention to detail

 Able to work on own initiative

 Confident and diplomatic

 Numerate with understanding of Accountancy/Invoicing and financial reporting

 Proactive and receptive to change

 Familiarity with CAFM systems

 Technically competent although not necessarily technically qualified

 Clean Driving Licence

HOURS OF WORK

Normal working hours will be from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch each day normally 1:00pm - 2:00pm. There is the opportunity to vary start and finish times by half an hour at the beginning and end of the day, the full details of which will be provided on commencement of employment.
