About the Role:

In this senior role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the site contracts, driving compliance, overseeing safety standards, and ensuring operational excellence at a critical site. You will act as a key advisor, providing expert guidance to ensure all regulatory, legal, and client-specific health and safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee health & safety compliance at the facility, ensuring all operations adhere to regulatory, legal, and client-specific standards in high-risk environments to safeguard both personnel and infrastructure.

  • Manage the compliance of contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations and operational processes across the facilitiy comply with internal, external, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide strong leadership and expert guidance to site operations teams in interpreting, implementing, and maintaining health & safety regulations, policies, and best practices, ensuring smooth integration with operational processes in critical environments.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and carry out comprehensive root cause analysis to enhance safety measures, minimize risks, and improve overall health & safety performance at the site.

  • Foster a proactive safety culture, ensuring all operational teams actively engage in risk management practices and strictly follow safety protocols, particularly in high-stakes environments where operational continuity is critical.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to integrate lessons learned from safety audits, incident reports, and risk assessments into daily operations and ensure continuous safety enhancements are applied at the critical site.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Health & Safety certification is essential.

  • Proven track record of managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and overseeing health & safety within critical facilities or high-risk environments, with a deep understanding of the unique safety requirements and regulatory standards for such environments.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and the ability to assess, analyze, and mitigate risks while interpreting safety data to implement solutions within critical operational settings.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects within critical facilities, ensuring that all operations meet stringent safety standards.

  • Proven ability to review incident reports, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and ensure that safety improvements are effectively embedded into operational practices within critical environments.

  • Strong quantitative and technical skills, with a focus on data-driven problem solving and the ability to drive continuous improvement in both safety and operational efficiency across the site.
