About the Role:
We are recruiting for a leading property maintenance contractor who are seeking a highly organised and experienced Painting Contract Supervisor to join their dynamic team based in Yeovil. In this role, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple cyclical decorating painting contracts for various housing association and local authority clients throughout Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Manage and oversee the execution of multiple cyclical painting contracts, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Team Supervision: Lead and support a team of painters, providing guidance, training, and performance assessments.
* Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for housing association and local authority clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
* Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Resource Allocation: Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the course of the project, ensuring minimal disruption to the schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the painting and property maintenance realm.
* Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge: Thorough understanding of painting techniques, materials, and industry standards. Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
* Education: Relevant qualifications in painting and decorating, or construction management, are desirable.
* Driving License: Full UK driving license is required.
